I’M (NOT) A GUCCI KIND OF GIRL
I’ve never been a proper Gucci fan. The latest collection that I loved is dated kind of long time ago, in 2011…
Since then, according to me, Gucci style/taste have slowly collapsed and declined. I don’t remember a single piece by Gucci that I loved since that Spring Summer show (the color-block one, if you want to check!).
However, things have changed: in 2014 Frida Giannini and the CEO Patrizio di Marco left the Florence fashion house, giving the chance to Marco Bizzarri, new CEO, and to Alessandro Michele, the new creative director, to make the Italian brand shine again.
So, here we are now: more that a year after Michele got the job, I must say that he’s doing great! The new image of Gucci is fresh, stunning, up-to-date and charming. He is definitely giving an enchanting touch to all of his new collections. Gucci iconic colors, such as red and green, have been used, so far, in a more than clever and glamour way. Same for the logo!
To conclude, I must definitely change my mind and I really must say that Gucci is not a granny luxury brand anymore!
Now have a look at some pieces that I selected to stun your eyes.
