Mokki eyewear: from Norway with love at Copenhagen Specs

It may seem out of place to post something so winter-ish in May, but, believe me guys, nothing has ever been so approriate.

I’m looking outside my window while I’m writing this and there’s fresh snow on the mountains sorrounding my town. No, they are not high mountains, they are more like high and rocky hills.

The weather in Italy is so crazy lately and shooting new frames is mental!

Anyway, talking about shooting frames… I want to share with you the last collaboration we worked on while in Copenhagen for Copenhagen Specs.

The brand is Mokki I’m talking about this week and it comes from Norway. Mokki was established in Oslo 25 year ago and now it’s one of the biggest eyewear brands in Northen Europe.

While in Copenhagen, I chose to shoot this round oversize frame from the latest Mokki collection. At first sight, it may seem a plain pair of black sunglasses, but, thanks to a couple of smart design details a simple frame becomes a unique piece of art.

The detail I like the most is the creamy edge: it brightens up the frame and your skin too. Then I adore the 70s inspires design, such a trend these days. Last, but not least, the combination between acetate and metal on the temples balances perfectly the structure and makes the frontal part to stand out.

Talking about the lenses, I love the gradient effect!

Just as a footnote: Mokki also makes super cute sunnies for kids!

Visit Mokki website here
and this is the frame that I’m wearing!
